From the coach Neil Ashe: I've never seen a happier bunch of boys. This was a good effort considering they finished 5th at Mentone last year. Laurits was only recruited the previous day and was sweetly rewarded with a blue ribbon and gold baton in his first appearance for Waverley. Special mention to Ned for making up at least 4 metres in the last leg to snatch victory by one hundredth of a second!!
From Coach Tammy Stephens: All the Under 10 athletes were well behaved and the results were outstanding. The boys were that keen they spent most of their spare time practicing at the back of the marshalling area. We all look forward to next weekend and 'Well Done' everyone!
