Waverley Little Athletics has been announced as Champion Club winner of the Victorian Smartplay Sport Safety Champion Awards 2009.

The Awards, run by Smartplay, Sports Medicine Australia’s sports injury prevention program funded by VicHealth and the Department of Planning and Community Development (Sport and Recreation Victoria), searched state wide for community sporting clubs with the top sport safety strategies.

Waverley Little Athletics beat out entrants to win the $500 cash prize with their dedication to sports safety.
