What a great venue Jells Park North is! Many of us missed competing here earlier in the season as we were attending the Seaford Open Day. Jells Park North provided a beautiful outlook across the fields to the lake, with the runners being relatively visible for the majority of the course.
Handicap Day was a new concept for many, especially for our younger athletes. It added a different perspective to the races, giving the slower runners an opportunity to lead and the faster runners something to catch! I noticed most runners started a lot quicker than usual, possible because there were not the crowds to contend with on the starting line … although this sometimes left them a little short of energy at the end!
Congratulations to all those who competed at Jells Park on handicap day. Photos

Thank you to Tracey Kennedy and Peter Mackie (in disguise) who assisted with recording results and course marshalling at Jells Park. Your assistance is most appreciated.
I will be away for the next 2 weeks of competition, weeks 14 and 15. Peter Ziguras will be taking the Waverley flag along to the events during this time. Please keep an eye on the website during this time for any relevant updates.
Week 16, July 18th, after the school holidays, is the final day of cross-country competition. It will be held at Bellbird Dell (remember, hidden hills). I will see you there!
Cheers and good luck!
