News - 2010/2011
Week 4 at Wick’s Reserve was pleasantly sunny through the canopy of the eucalypts! With all families now settled into the cross-country routine, the day proceeded really smoothly. I even had the time to take some photos. Congratulations to all athletes who ran up that big hill, (3 times in the case of the U13 - 15s) at the beginning of the Wicks course. You did it!
Duty
Many thanks to Glenn DeLisen and Peter Ziguras who completed duty at Wicks Reserve. Next week the Dudley and Galileos families are helping at Jells Park North. Please sign in with David at the microphone a little before 9am so that the programme can begin on time. David will allocate a duty task to you.
BookletsThe booklet will be available next week. It outlines the programme, tips for training and provides athletes a space in which to stick their weekly results tickets. So keep your results tickets safe until then!
PhotosPlease visit the Knox website to view the hundreds of photos taken each week by the various Knox photographers. I will also bring my camera along at times to get a few extra shots. www.klac23.org.au
ResultsPlease visit the Knox website to view the results from each week. The cross country results WILL NOT be loaded onto the WLAC website this season. www.klac23.org.au
Training
All athletes in U9 - U15 are welcome to participate in cross country training on Wednesdays from 5 - 6 pm at Central Reserve (meet at the club rooms) with Jake. Please note there is NOT an official first aid administrator on duty at this time, so it is recommended that parents remain at the venue during this time in case of emergency. As my own children have school sporting commitments on Wednesday afternoons, I am not necessarily going to attend.
