From Sonia O'Sullivan - Team Manager for Waverley LAC on Saturday 3rd August 2013. 

Well done to the six Waverley athletes who persisted throughout the winter cross country season and made it to the State Cross Country championships at Lardner park last weekend.

What a fantastic course, very challenging and what cross country is all about. The benefits of cross country running are sure to be seen by these athletes when the track season restarts and we'll be looking for PB's  and great races all around.

The results of Waverley athletes are as follows:

Cross Country is not only about individual medals and there are many opportunities for Waverley athletes to be part of a team and help each other to chase Victorian Championship medals, something we need to aim for in 2014.
