During the 2013/14 season, we have celebrated 50 years of Little Athletics in Victoria. The activity of Little Athletics began on the first Saturday of October in 1964, by Trevor Billingham. He had this idea of Saturday morning activities for children and on this day, he ran a program of events for a small group of athletes, thus, Little Athletics was born.

The Victorian Little Athletics Association was later formed in 1967, followed by the Australian Little Athletics Union in 1972.

50 years later, Little Athletics in Victoria and Australia is one of the most predominant sports, with just under 100,000 members nationally.

On Saturday 4th October, LAVic is celebrating the Anniversary with a formal Gala Dinner.
