The Waverley Little Athletics summer program is snowballing towards a successful opening at the Waverley Central Reserve, Springvale Rd., at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 7.

The competition, which has boomed in suburban centres throughout Melbourne, is open to children between seven and 12 years old. 

Each age group competes against children of their own standard each week. 

Individual clubs have been formed in Waverley using the name of local schools. But it does not follow that children must attend these schools - the names are used for convenience sake.
