News - 2015/2016

Good evening to you. Welcome to 2016 and the remainder of the 2015/16 little athletics season. Dare I say it but 'the force awakens'! 

With eight rounds to go (including 2 twilights), we return to Central Reserve this Saturday 16 January. 
A little earlier than usual I hear you say(?!), however Easter is earlier this year, so there's a lot to cram in between now and early March. 

This week will be Program 2, and we will require most people to assist, given the attendance is expected to be lower than normal. 
Program 3 (Walks/400s) will be next week's program. 

SPORTS PASS 
Please collect your child's Sports Pass membership card if you haven't already done so. 

TEMPORARY PATCH 
Just a reminder that all athletes should be wearing a patch. If you require a temporary patch, please see Katy Smith, our Secretary/Registrar, in the club rooms BEFORE competition starts. A gold coin donation to the Royal Children's Hospital is required. 

REGION AND STATE COMPETITIONS 
There are a number of events coming up (State Multi's, Region Challenge, Region Track and Field and State Track and Field). Please see our website or LaVic website for further details. 

KEY OFFICIALS 
A number of key officials will be absent this week I anticipate (thanks to those who have already informed me). If you cannot make it, please let me know. Peter Cooke will be our First Aid Officer this week - thanks Peter! 

COMMITTEE 2016 
As the season winds to a close in early March, Committee nominations are now open for anyone wanting to join the Committee for next season. Please speak to a Committee member if you are interested. All Committee positions (including President, Secretary, etc) are up for grabs! On a personal note, I haven't decided if I will nominate to continue in my current role, as Arena Manager, but if anyone would like to learn the ropes by all means! 

For those of you still on holidays, enjoy, and please make a safe journey back. I can't believe school starts back in 2 weeks!
