Waverley Little Athletics Centre Inc. Message from the new (old) President

News - 2016/2017

Dear Members of the Waverley Little Athletics Centre Inc.,

Hello and thank you for your support during the 2016/17 season. I especially thank the 2016/17 Committee for their hard work.

For those of you who may not know me, I am Dylan Cooper and am the new (old) President of WLAC.
I'm a Life Member and Past President, having served as President from 2012 until July 2015 when I resigned due to personal reasons.

On Saturday, the 2017/18 Committee was elected at the 49th Annual General Meeting of Waverley LAC.
I'm pleased to advise that most positions have been filled. We have a number of new Committee Members which is very pleasing.
The Committee will be working very hard behind the scenes between now and October to prepare for the new season ahead.

We are looking for any interested parents or adults to consider taking on the position(s) of;
- Arena Manager
- Coaching Manager

Without an Arena Manager, we can not organise and run the weekly programs.
Without a Coaching Manager, we will not be able to organise and coordinate weekly coaching programs or relay coaching.

I urge members to consider taking on these roles, whether they're in a Committee or Non-Committee capacity.

There are also several Non-Committee positions that need to be filled and parent/adult assistance is always needed for the various roles throughout the off-season and on-season.

A final note: Cross Country is coming up very soon. We participate in conjunction with Knox LAC.
