Waverley Little Athletics Centre Inc.

Tomorrow's race is at Jells Park North (enter via Waverley Rd). It's the Knox Championship day, where the Knox kids compete for club honours. We are not in the race for medals, but are welcome to join in, as usual!

Race order this week is u9/10, u13/16, u6, PARENTS RACE, u7/8, u11/12.

There's a parent's 1500m race on the programme, so come dressed to run........the kids love the role reversal, and would love to cheer you on for a change!

 

Many thanks to all who have responded to my invitation to our Presentation Evening (next Friday, August 4th, 6.30pm). If you would like to come, please let me know this weekend, so that I can confirm our catering order. I would like to see everyone there to celebrate our kids' fantastic achievements!

 

Last weekend, we had a small, but strong team of six athletes competing at the state cross country championships at Cruden Farm. In harsh wintry conditions our young athletes showed great spirit in competing against Victoria's best young athletes. The highlights of the day were 5th place finishes  from both Bradley, u12 and Aislinn, u9. Top ten at State level is awesome!

Our other competitors were:

Jaslene 42nd u9, Nichola 16th u11, Luke 48th u10 and Reamonn 30th u11
