Good Morning to All our wonderful WLAC families,
What will the weather bring this week?? After 3 weeks of cancellations, it will be great to get back on the track and actually get a meeting started. The weather is looking good for no rain at this stage so we will keep our fingers crossed!!
This week the Under 9's are still on duty for early set-up from 7:30, I need 4-5 parents to help us get the track ready for competition. The more the merrier and makes the job that much easier.
Parent Roster:
Make sure your name is put on, either online or written down on Sat morning. We are keeping track of parents fulfilling their duty requirements this season.
Bring a Friend Day:
This Sat 16th Nov. Bring your friend inside to get a Come and Try patch & number, so they can get results. Also stickers and WLAC ribbon. At the end of the program, Age Group Leaders to bring the age group to the front of the pavilion for all athletes to get a free zooper dooper.
Mentone Relays:
40 Waverley athletes, 22 teams (from U8 to U14) competed at the Mentone Relay Day last Sunday 10th Nov. 18 x top 8 finishes, with green baton
(3rd) won by U9 boys 4 x 100m, 3 x red batons (2nd) won by U8 mixed 4 x 100m, U14 mixed 4 x 100m and U14 mixed 4 x 200m and gold baton (1st) to
U9 mixed 4 x 100m. No batons were dropped and none of our teams came last. And to top it off, our parents won the parent relay race trophy !!
Region Relays:
Sat 23rd Nov. Information will be sent out soon. See inside this Sat morning for uniform tops, COLES badges, Subway patches if required.
That's all for this week, see the Under 9's for early set-up from 7:30am
and the rest of you from 8:30am for a 9:00am SHARP start time. It's a
small program to run this week so let's have lots of parent helpers to
help us get through.
See you all Saturday morning.
Cheers,
Denis
