News - 2021/2022

Last Saturday, 26th March, we successfully held the WLAC Annual General Meeting. After going three rounds of calling for committee nominations, we finally filled all but one position. Congratulations and thank you everyone that attended and to the incoming committee members. 

Please see the below list of new 2022/23 Committee Members. 

One position remains vacant. I can’t emphasise enough how important it is, that one of our parents steps up and take on this role. We NEED a Secretary. I won’t sugar coat it, without a Secretary, the Committee/administration will struggle again heading into the new season, with communication issues and the need to spread the extra workload. The Secretary role isn’t overbearing. The problem is that over the years, members have seen how much work Katy Smith has put into the Centre, while Centre Secretary. She has taken on more than enough additional roles and responsibilities that weren’t part of the Secretary role. 

I urge all WLAC parents to consider taking on this role and how important it is that this role is filled. I hope that you step forward and introduce yourself to us on Sunday at our Presentation Day. Being part of our committee is truly a fun and rewarding experience and you won’t be alone, there are several new committee members this year and more than enough experienced committee members that will welcome you aboard and show you the ropes.

2022/23 Committee

Finally, a few days ago I asked our volunteers to send through their Working with Children's check details, if applicable. The email didn’t get through to everyone that volunteers at Waverley, so if you have a WWCC and volunteer in a Key role, please send through your details so I can update our register.
