Neetasha Dobson

Neetasha Dobson is the Registrar and a Life Member of the Waverley Little Athletics Centre Inc. She has been involved at the Centre for 6 years and has been a member of the Committee for 5 years. At the commencement of the 2020/21 season, Neetasha became the longest serving Registrar in the history of the Centre, commencing her 5th year, surpassing Mike Keeshan who was Registrar from 1980/84.

Since joining the Committee in 2016, Neetasha has streamlined the Registrar's duties, reducing the workload for herself and others. Behind the scenes, Neetasha is responsible for answering the day to-day enquiries of new and returning members, ensuring our registration portal is set up and live, transferring information from SportsTG into the WLAC database, chasing up athletes proof of age, printing athletes barcodes/setting up athletes registrations patches and looking after Come & Try registrations.

During the summer season, Neetasha co-manages the administration which is particularly busy during the first few weeks of October, assisting families who turn up on Saturday mornings to register their children, issues temporary patches, answers all queries and sets up and packs up the laptops. When the role of Registrar quietens down during the later part of each season, Neetasha assists in running the canteen or is out on the track assisting at the Sprint Track timing box.

Neetasha is a very well organised person and a wonderful team member to work with. Special thanks to Neetasha’s husband Mark and three children for all their assistance to her on a Saturday and behind the scenes.
