Frank Mardell*
Frank Mardell was a Life Member and Past President of the Waverley Little Athletics Centre Inc. He was the 12th Centre President and was from the Holy Family Little Athletics Club.

Frank was Vice President to Bob and Anne Rennie during the early years (1986/87), he also was the centre’s jack of all trades. Frank marked the lines on the track before the Waverley Council took on that job. Along with other assistants, Frank would setup the venue and put everything away at the end of the Day. With other peoples help Frank, was essentially in charge of the equipment and would be one of the early attendees to open up and prepare the arena for the day’s activities.
During the 1987/88 season, Bob Rennie resigned as Centre President and Frank, former Vice President, stepped into the role
Frank passed away on 11th January 1992 and was buried at the Springvale Cemetery on 17th January 1992. Frank was the first Life Member to pass away, until Jack rigby passed away on 24th August 2019.
